For Some Bizarre Reason, Rift Just Opened Its Public Test Server Until This Monday
No, they didn't add content or anything to test, it's just...open.
Look, I'm not exactly sure why, but gamigo is opening up Rift's Public Test Server (PTS) today and letting it run until Monday the 12th. The official post doesn't mention any type of new content being added to the MMORPG or anything, its just...open.
You may be asking youself, "What should I test on the test server?" Good question. The team literally is asking you to play as normal and to report bugs in Rift's "regular features" and general gameplay bugs. So yeah, test that game you've already been playing for years (that hasn't received meaningful updates in years) and report that bug you've likely already reported on live servers multiple times?
Seriously, I don't know.
It's not even like the PTS has a special reporting system that isn't on the live servers. PTS issues are to be reported on the game's Discord, a new PTS reporting form, or by contacting a community manager on Discord. If you want to do so, you can select the PTS from the cogwheel on your Glyph launcher.
An "event" is planned for Friday on the PTS with CM Arcahem and if you do play on the PTS during this period, you'll score 7 days of Patron status.
