Find Your New Home: Throne And Liberty Releases Server Merger List Resulting In Only 25 Global Servers Remaining

While it makes sense to finally merge "early access" and "launch" servers, this still seems like a large merge.

Having previously revealed the full plan for their upcoming server merges, Throne and Liberty really only had to drop the list of servers being merged next month. The MMORPG dropped that list today and the final tally sees 107 servers being merged down to just 25 servers across 5 different global regions.

While the most prominently advertised reason for the merging has been to bring the previously separated "early access" servers and "launch" servers together now that economies have stabilized, I'm not quite sure that maths out correctly.

Upon early access starting, there we 37 early access servers. Launch saw the initial addition of 46 launch servers bringing the global server count to 73 servers. More servers were added after launch to deal with population crowding to bring the tally up to 107.

Bringing the final server count down to 25 next month is well beyond just simply merging early access and launch servers. We all know that's where the "giving players a better experience" line comes in, I'm sure.

The merges kick off on February 6th with the merging of auction houses, continues the week of February 13th with the unlocking of character transfers, and concludes on the 27th with the actual server consolidation. Remember to log in between the 13th and 27th since each day will see new rewards and buffs for players.

In case you missed it, Throne and Liberty announced their new Wilds of Telandre expansion is coming March 6th.
