EverQuest's Roadmap 2023 Plans Reveal New UI Engine, 30th Expansion Launch, Progressions Server, And More
While nothing is set entirely in stone, Everquest has big plans this year.
Daybreak and Darkpaw Games have released a Development Roadmap 2023 blog to reveal plans for a new UI engine, the 30th expansion launch, incoming progression servers, and more coming to EverQuest this year.
Players in 2022 saw plenty of fresh content, including the "Night of the Shadows" expansion and progression servers perfect for returning fans. For 2023, the devs have many "high-level goals" and "target delivery dates" in mind, but everything is obviously subject to change depending on bug fixes and other in-game issues.
Still, they laid out all the details in an infographic, showing content aimed to release monthly from January to December. The highlights are the Night of Shadows raid tiers unlocking in early 2023, followed by a new UI engine, a progression server with a unique ruleset, the 30th expansion launch, and more.
Across 2023, the devs will improve zone performance and port more windows to the new UI engine. But as of this writing, the Guild Tradeskill Depot doesn't have a date yet for 2023.
