EverQuest's Producer's Letter Details The Outer Brood Expansion With Foes Even Dragons Won't Take On
Look, if a dragon says, "No thanks," maybe it's just time to call is quits, right?
Say what you will about EverQuest, but the MMORPG always drops some great art when it comes to expansion reveal time. Now, we've known about EverQuest's 31st expansion, The Outer Brood, since it was revealed earlier this year at Fippy Fest, but details have been sparce.
That said, we're getting a little more information on the expansion from today's EverQuest Producer's Letter. There's some things flying around in the sky over Hodstok and let's just say that they're...big. I mean, if you thought dragons were big, that's just peanuts compared to space...
Sorry, wrong reference.
Seriously, though, something massive is in the sky flying around and there seems to be rather large monsters flying down from that...thing...and wreaking a bit of havoc in Norrath. It doesn't help that these beasts dwarf the dragons you've been messing with in the MMO for years. Hell, even many of the dragon elders and decided to peace out. Around the flying behemoth is a magic force that no one quite understands, either. Things are looking pretty grim for our heroes.
The new key art above shows of some of what to expect when The Outer Brood launches in December, and the art itself looks awesome.
While EverQuest 2 started expansion pre-orders today, EverQuest itself isn't ready to do so just yet, so the tease we have today is all we have to go on for now. Hey, at least there's an updated map for the rest of the year in the post. These include the return of holiday events each month for the rest of 2024.
