EverQuest II Gives More Expansions Away For Free While Both EQ MMORPGs Are Planning Next Expansions
More free stuff for all accounts.
EverQuest II continues rolling out content, and giving some more content out for free. In this week's producer letter, it was announced that three more of the MMORPG's expansion packs will be free to all accounts ahead of the newest expansion drop later this year.
Starting next week, EverQuest II players will have free access to expansions all the way through the Planes of Prophecy. Currently, players have free access through Altar of Malice, so that's three more expansions added to the free list.
Game Update 123 titled Shattered Overture is scheduled for September along with an expansion prelude.
The original EverQuest is also slated to get another expansion this year with that game's producer's letter teasing "Great things are happening, and the team is working ever diligently on the lore, quests, and much more! All I can say for now is that things are not always how we remember them…or are they?"
