EverQuest Agnar Progression Server Launch Suffers Crashes And Other Issues
Yesterday, Daybreak Games launched a new progession server for its free-to-play MMO EverQuest. The Agnarr server, as it is known, is already suffering a bevvy of issues. These reportedly include players being denied entry to various zones, extended queue times, and a really odd duplication issue that appears to be tied to players simply phasing in next to players selecting items.
As expected, Daybreak is working on the issues and posting regular updates on the game's forums. According to the initial post, part of the problem was the result of too many players trying to create characters at the same time. They addressed that by implementing a population cap. While the post does mention that they are aware of other issues, they have not yet stated what fixes are being implemented for them. Hopefully, this information will be available on the post linked above sometime today.
