Dirty Bomb Leaves Beta, Launches 1.0 Next Week
Today's "That game is still in beta?" moment comes to us courtesy of Splash Damage and Dirty Bomb. The team-based shooter is still in beta or early access or whatever you want to call it, but that all changes next week with the release of version 1.0, as revealed in a video today.
When the full release hits servers, beta players will receive a bunch of rewards for their loyalty, with new players receiving similar loot minus a "Beta Veteran" trinket. 1.0 will also see the return of Execution mode on community servers, which was removed some time ago as the developers focused on the game's core modes, Objective and Stopwatch.
Finally, because the people behind the guns are just as important as the guns themselves, Splash Damage has expanded the lore of all its mercs, presented in a special section on the website. One of them is a female French sniper, which totally means "Overwatch clone." /sarcasm
