Daybreak Starts Discussing 2018 Plans For EverQuest & EverQuest 2
Daybreak Games dropped a couple of Producer's Letters yesterday regarding its plans for EverQuest and EverQuest 2 in 2018. Unlike a lot of producers, the EQ devs appear to like to keep things short and sweet. There's your obligatory thanks for support in the previous year, some cool art to download, and -- what we're really here for -- information on what to expect in the coming year.
Neither post offers detailed information on what to expect, sadly. In fact, the EverQuest post simply states that the devs are "deep in planning and content creation," noting that they're excited to deliver another year of content. It also notes that this year, they'll be celebrating EQ's 19th anniversary. That's a pretty big deal and players can look forward to celebratory content in March.
As for EverQuest 2, its development team is also in the planning stages, so they don't want to spoil much. That said, the next game update is slated for early February and will contain the Tradeskill Signature questline. This questline will give players another way to earn progression while continuing the story of the Planes of Prophecy.
That's pretty much it for both posts. If you'd like to read everything in the developers' own words, you can do so at the links above.
