Darkpaw Games Celebrates EverQuest's 23rd Anniversary With All New Content
There are also gifts.
Over the past year or so, a lot of games have celebrated a decade in action, but that's less than half of what EverQuest has going on. This year, the fantasy MMO turns 23 and from now until May 10, players can celebrate the big event in-game. During the celebration, players will be able to take on new quests, try their hand at a new raid, and earn new achievements. And, while they're doing it, they’ll also receive a special gift just for logging in.
The new quests in question include helping a troll search for a flying fish, learning about poker-related paintings, and helping the deceased move on in order to complete the cycle of life and death. It may all sound like nonsense, but there's a reason behind every one of these endeavors.
In addition to the above quests, there’s also a mission to meet disciples of the cycle and fight them in an attempt to understand the importance of the cycle. This particular mission has a lot of required steps, but the rewards are supposed to be worth it.
Finally, there's the new raid – Mad Emperor. This raid will take players into Karnor's Castle, which is filled with all kinds of crazy things. Apparently, that isn’t too unusual. But, the frequency is becoming a concern.
And, of course, players can take part in returning events as well. For players over level 100. Returning events include Sailor Twift and her Riveting Tales, helping create a Fancy Feast, and more. For those under 100, other content has returned as well.
