City Of Heroes Licensed Homecoming Server Writes Letter To Community Setting The Stage For The Future
There's a bright future in store for this gem of a game.
The developers behind Homecoming, the City of Heroes server that recently became officially licensed, wrote a letter to the community.
Reflecting on the journey since its launch in May 2019, the team emphasizes their commitment to creating a stable and long-term version of the game — ensuring that the players feel welcome. Despite challenges and mistakes along the way, their primary goal has always been to keep the servers online and provide a secure future for fans of NCSoft’s MMORPG.
Besides acknowledging the recent good news, the letter outlines plans to merge Victory and Paragon servers, with Victory becoming the 6th live shard. Closed Beta testing will move to Homecoming's infrastructure, and the community is encouraged to participate in ensuring smooth updates.
Issue 27: Page 7, a major upcoming update, is teased too — with new power sets, story arcs, zone updates, and customization options. The developers express excitement about the future, including Issue 28 and beyond, and invites individuals to join their game as they are actively recruiting more developers and Game Masters.
