Deathwing Is Back: Cataclysm Closed Beta Kicks Off On World of Warcraft: Classic PTR
The update comes with plenty of improvements.
Once again, it’s time to spend a little time on World of Warcraft: Classic’s testing servers. Blizzard has launched the closed beta for Cataclysm Classic on the PTR. Deathwing’s entrance has left Azeroth damaged and it’s up to the players to prevent its complete destruction.
Any player with a standard World of Warcraft subscription can take part in the MMORPG's test beginning today. The expansion includes qualify-of-life changes such as an improved leveling experience, an improved user interface, and more.
Players can also purchase the “Blazing Epic Upgrade”. This includes a Level 90 character boost, a mount, a pet, and other items.
Note: Activision Blizzard has been sued by California’s Civil Rights Department, alleging violations of California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act and Equal Pay Act. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about the alleged violations within his company. These allegations have all been denied by Activision Blizzard and the company points to additional diversity and inclusion training as past examples of taking the accusations seriously at the time they were made. This case has been settled for $54 million.
