Blade & Soul's Next Update Adds Lyn Assassin And Includes Valentine's Event
"Shroud of the Assassin" may not sound like an update with a romantic theme. In fact, it's probably not unless the stealthy takedown of your foes is what really does it for you. But, it is Blade and Soul's next update and when it hits on February 19, it will bring the Blade & Soulmate event back with it. NCSoft hasn't gone into great detail about what kind of activities and rewards will be included with the event, but if it follows the same format as previous events players will walk away with some adorable Valentine's day-themed costumes and weapons in exchange for doing some simple quests.
As for the Shroud of the Assassin update itself, it introduces the Assassin Third Class specialization -- Way of the Phantom -- for players level 55 and over. In order to be eligible for the new specialization, players will need to complete the "Legacy of the Hongmoon Clan" awakening quest. The new specialization will grant players the ability to wield phantasmal energy using the Phantom skill. Or, they can sneak up on the enemy using Shadow Stalkers. The update also introduces the Lyn Assassin to the game for the first time.
