Blade & Soul Ups Rewards For Newer Dungeons In May 9 Update
Forget Blade & Soul's older dungeons. Instead, try your hand at the shiny and new dungeons! And, uh, we'll give you more loot if you do?
That is, in essence, a primary focus of the Eternal Night update coming to NCSoft's MMORPG on May 9. Older heroic dungeons Avalanche Den, Lair of the Frozen Fang, and Awakened Necropolis will reward players with less loot while newer dungeons Naryu Sanctum, Irontech Forge, and Ebondrake Lair "will see their gold and material rewards rebalanced based on the amount of time and effort required to complete each dungeon."
In addition to that loot change, weapon and accessory upgrades will be rebalanced "to incorporate more of the materials that players are obtaining through the gameplay those items are used for," which is a sentence that makes my brain hurt, but maybe that's just because I'm not up on B&S's itemization and upgrade mechanics. If you want the nitty-gritty details as to exactly what's being rebalanced, there's a spreadsheet you can peruse.
If you're a fan of playing in camera mode, this update also implements simplified controls that let you use the right mouse button to cycle through controls. Learn more about all that and the many item changes coming to the game on the B&S website.
