Blade & Soul's Unchained Chaos Drops March 16...And Class Changes Are Added, BUT AT WHAT COST!?
Class changes are also a limited time option for some weird reason...and they expire!
Blade & Soul players definitely have a few things to look forward to this week, like the third Gunslinger specialization, a new dungeon, and something called the Dropscotch games. Apparently, this is like hopscotch but with the risk of falling into a gaping void. Players will be jumping across suspended glass tiles rather than something drawn on a sidewalk.
As for the new Gunslinger specialization, "Way of the Arsenal" will allow players to create 'weaponized choreographies' using light-powered guns. This means they'll be able to show off from far away. But, they shouldn’t worry about that allowing enemies to dodge their glowing bullets.
The new Demonsbane dungeon, Chaos Supply Chain, will send players back to Blackram Supply Chain in an effort to stop Poharan and her allies. Of course, there will be new (as yet undescribed) rewards to be had. There's even an added bonus, as all players will now earn gold for Demonsbane rankings.
Finally, Thursday’s update will also introduce class changes to the game for the first time ever. This will allow players to completely modify their characters, including their race and appearance. That might explain why this limited-time feature costs so much.
If you're wondering how much, NCSoft is offering players the chance to buy up to three bundles on their account at a cost of 8,000 NCoin each. That’s $100 USD. Theoretically, players could spend up to $300 on this (or more if they have more than one account). Here's where it gets even more interesting. Not all three bundles are the same, but they all cost the same. There's the Class Change Launch Bundle, which players can purchase one of, and then the Class Change Bundle. Players can buy two of those. The Class Change Launch Bundle contains quite a bit more than the Class Change Bundle, as can be seen here.

As noted, this is a limited-time thing. The bundles will be available to purchase beginning March 16 (Tomorrow) and will remain so until March 23, so you have a week. That's not the only part that's limited either. If you drop $100 on these things, use them fast. They become unusable after April 13. There are quite a few other details you’ll probably want to look over on the Class Change announcement page as well.
