Blade & Soul Producer’s Letter Reveals Lighter Content Delivery For 2023
There is a need for additional development time.
Back in September, the Blade & Soul team began a bi-monthly update system – meaning they would be adding content every other month. This has worked decently for them so far, but as 2023 kicks off, they’ve discovered a need for additional development time on some things. As a result, that means they’ve planned two months that will have lighter content than the others. Note that this does not mean there won’t be any content in those months.
The first month to get lighter content will be February, so they’re getting that one out of the way pretty quickly. They’re obviously trying to not pile all the light content months on players at once, so the second will be in September. If you’re wondering, what they’ll be doing instead is working on tailoring content for North America and Europe.
In the end, the idea is to offer players a development cycle that is better for the devs and for players. To make up for it, they promise a packed update in March, filled with plenty of content.
