Blade & Soul NEO Heads To Free PC Release In Less Than A Month

After seeming to almost be a lost project with no news coming for months and months, NCSoft is now moving very quickly on the Blade & Soul NEO front. The team just released a roadmap to launch and you may be surprised by how little you actually have to wait to dive into the MMORPG's visually enhanced world and updated movement, combat, and progression systems.

Thanks to a new trailer from the team, we now know that you can download the PC client in less than two weeks on February 11th. This pre-download will be via NCSoft's "Purple" launcher tool. A week later, on the 18th, you'll be able to create your new character and a week after that, on the 25th, Blade & Soul NEO will officially launch.

Remember, the original Blade & Soul isn't going anywhere. If you're still having fun there with your friends, you'll be able to continue to do so. Blade & Soul NEO is an entirely separate game that makes adjustments to some of the original game's pain points (you can now Windwalk without worrying about a stamina bar) and improvements to visuals thanks to an upgrade to Unreal Engine 4.

You can still pre-register on the official site for a few free mystery costume boxes and the team will be holding costume design contests if you are artistically inclined.
