Atlas Rogues Hits Early Access Nov. 18, Won't Be F2P
We get how it is when you have something new and exciting to announce -- you can't wait to tell the world, so you blurt it out wherever you can. Last week, one of the designers of Atlas Rogues, the follow-up to Atlas Reactor, posted a thread on Reddit describing the new game, and I wondered why the information drop wasn't accompanied by more official word from gamigo. Today, we got that word, along with some dates and a new trailer showing off the gameplay.
Atlas Rogues lets players fly solo or join forces with up to four friends in a "rogue-lite" PvE co-op adventure "to recover Reactor keys from the evil Trusts and prevent a catastrophic meltdown shaping up in the city." If you don't stop the meltdown, time will loop back, providing new and unique content with every run. You'll earn additional Freelancers and discover the lore behind the city as you play through each session.
That's all pretty much what we knew from last week's Reddit reveal, but there was some new information revealed today, too. Atlas Rogues will go into early access on Nov. 18, when you'll be able to purchase it on the old Trion Worlds Glyph platform or via Steam. Yes, we said "purchase," as we've received confirmation that the game will not be free-to-play. For now, you can learn more about the game via its shiny new website.
