ARR!! New ArcheAge Update Offers Love To Pirates And Heroes
Today, a brand-new update hits the ArcheAge servers. Once update 5.1 is complete it will not only add new content but give a little love to Pirates and Heroes, fleshing the former out as a Nation and providing the latter with more power.
Starting today, Plunderers and freebooters can join the Pirate faction via a new quest line. Now, players no longer need to be criminals to be a Pirate -- which sounds a bit weird when you say it. Crime and infamy are now separate from the pirates. It should be noted that the number of players who can become pirates this way has been limited. Pirates will also need to remain active in order to stay in that faction. Otherwise, they'll be booted to their old one.
As for the revamp of the Hero system, it offers Heroes new abilities, quests, and more. Hero cloaks have been improved, and Heroes can now summon followers in raids.
Also included in the update is a revamped dungeon, the Abyssal Library. Players will now be able to obtain new Library Equipment.
The update will be live on the ArcheAge servers today. More information should be available on the game's site once it hits.
