ArcheAge Akasch Invasion Update Adds New Ruin-Filled Zone
Get ready to explore an all-new zone filled with mysteries of ArcheAge's past -- and perhaps some clues to its future -- with the launch of the Akasch Invasion update. The new update, which launched today, introduces Ipnya Ridge, a zone that can only be reached via a narrow path in Mysthrange Gorge (and by braving the dangers found there).
Those brave enough to travel there and survive will find the ruins of an ancient hub city once inhabited by the Ipnysh. But, the ruins aren't the only things players will find there, new Akasch structures can also be found there, and that doesn't mean anything good.
Before traveling to Ipnya Ridge, players will need to pick up and experience 37 main story quests tasking them with finding Ipnysh Wardens and forming alliances.
Along with the new zone, the update introduces the Ipnysh Artifact System, a new system that allows players to power up character equipment slots. The update also adds a new skillset, 66 new classes, and a new ranged weapon type: Rifles. Patch notes for the update are now available on the ArcheAge forums. These include miscellaneous changes and bug fixes.
