Although The Darkpaw Celebration Has Been Going All Year, EverQuest 2 Turns 20 This Week With A Free Anniversary Mount
Some rewards are in the original EverQuest, too.
Daybreak Games and Darkpaw Games have been celebrating the anniversaries of their flagship MMORPGs all year. That said, this week is the week that EverQuest 2 actually turns 20 years old. It all started for the sequel back on November 8th, 2004.
While there's still 2 months left in the Year of Darkpaw celebration, there's something a little extra hitting both EverQuest and EverQuest 2 now that the official date nears.
First up, a bit of a weird one since it's in the original EverQuest. In the original EverQuest, the "Champion's Festival" begins celebrating EverQuest 2's 20th anniversary. Pay a visit to Balhalyne Treherth in Qeynos Hills or Fellen Xalladyr in the Commonlands and pick up their quest. Complete the quest and you'll earn appearance items called the Echoforged Enoxus Ornament based on EverQuest II’s Enoxus, Cloud Cleaver, and the Echoforged Aeteok Ornament based on EverQuest II’s Aeteok, Spirit Render.
You can even repeat these quests if you want to dual-wield these skins.
Don't forget to pick up the EverQuest November gift as part of the Year of Darkpaw. This month, it's a teleport item that takes you to the Lake of Ill Omen. You can grab it on every one of your characters. Velkethor’s Labyrinth – Mysterious Dicoctions will also spawn in November and the Anniversary Tower quest will be updated with November's patch.
In EverQuest 2 proper, there's a limited edition 20th anniversary mount you can claim on the marketplace, but you have to do it by the end of November. I've included the picture above so you know what you're grabbing.
