Aion Online Update 8.1 Brings Lots of Bug Fixes And Improvements
There’s some new content as well.
Today, NCSoft dropped the latest Aion Online update, version 8.1. This update pushes a bunch of improvements and bug fixes and effectively brings the western version of Aion Online up to date with Korea’s August 4, 2021 update. Included in the update is the new Prestige Pass content, new burst quests and legion updates for Apsaranta, new instanced content, new items, and more.
Effectively, PvP is getting a whole lot of love here. For instance, a new Empyrean Lord’s Agent battle has been added. This new battle will begin if one race claims all 13 Operation Sites. It will take place at the Border Bridge and end 30 seconds after one of the Agents is defeated. Rewards for this battle include Equipment Wrapping, Apostle Transformation Contracts, and Empyrean Lord’s Holy Water.
In addition to new PvP content, the update also adds new Lugbug missions and rewards – and fixes an issue with the progression of the ‘Kerub Rapid Guide’ bonus missions. The instance dungeon, Heart of Apsaranta, has also received some love – notably that the location issue has been taken care of. In fact, most of the rest of the update is fixes and tweaks. These can be perused in the patch notes.
