Hi-Lo: The MMOBomb Game Show, Episode 1

Welcome to a brand new show here at MMOBomb! It's something we're calling Hi-Lo!

It's a chance for two of our panelists to show off their knowledge of free-to-play gaming and a chance for the rest of us to laugh at them when they're totally off base with their guesses! Today's contestants are two MMOBomb mainstays: Mike Byrne, a.k.a. Magicman, and Zach Sharpes, a.k.a. The Man Without Legs.

Here's how we it works: We've got five questions, all related to free-to-play gaming and all with a numerical answer. Each round, one of our players will be asked a question and have to give an answer that they think is correct. Then, their opponent will try to guess whether they think the real answer is higher or lower than the answer the first person gave. The answer is revealed, and if the second person is correct about it being higher or lower, they score the point. If not, their opponent scores the point. The first player to three points wins!

We had a lot of fun putting this show together, so let us know what you think about Hi-Lo in the comments below!

Wow, Zach lucked out with the Panther. Big time. Judging tanks (or anything really) by how they work in Battlefield 1 is not a good idea. Tanks in BF1 are faster than most WW2 tanks. In reality they were same speed or even slower than advancing infantry.
---
On the other hand, Mike's logic was sound (Indeed WW2 tanks were slow, going at 55 kph on a Panther would have felt like you're about to lift off) but he was brought down by his lack of basic tank knowledge. I'm not talking about hard numbers, just about the fact that maximum speed for a tank is usually a lot higher than actual speed on the battlefield. His guess was pretty close to actual speed, but not to maximum speed.
---
IMO that wasn't even a fair question. It wasn't entirely game-related and required real world history knowledge more than anything.

Great show. I guess I would like it if the first person guesses within 5% of the actual number then he wins the round and gets bonus points.

Format works pretty well! Certainly entertaining. Looking forward to more useless numbers, just like Metacritic ratings.

I like the new show. It's quite entertaining. Having numerical answers limits the questions a bit, but it allows for the high-low game and it does make it fun to watch.
