Was the wait for this troubled title worth it?
It's put itself in like with Warframe, but can it compete?
A Paragon-inspired project actually see the light of day, but can it compete with a crowded field of MOBAs?
We knew it wasn't going to do much new, but is it worth playing at all?
Dawngate was fun, however MOBA games are not a genre to work into unless you are doing something very different, such as Smite. For your standard experience I'm afraid League of Legends and Dota II have that market pretty much on lockdown.
I feel personally, there is a very real wish for the game industry to tap into the esports market, but is hasn't really been pushed with any other genre apart from a few cases. Maybe this lack of information is what is holding developers back who may want to make these games, but are held back by publishers. It is a shame.
