Also I see tons of games that are based on games I grew up playing on Starcraft (map settings) and Warcraft 3 (map settings) such as MOBAs and Tug-of-war games. To this my question is "Why the hell isnt there a game based on Footman Wars/Zealot warz?

Yes there's going to be new original ideas. I feel like since minecraft/survival games came out there hasn't been though, but soon we will have more mainstream AR and VR gaming which im sure we will see then some new original ideas.
