What on earth happen to the Role-Playing Game? They used to be challenging and mind thinking but now all of them are turning into Easy mode. It is not worth for people money and time for a game that just give no feeling Accomplishment.

Glad to hear Ember mentioned on the f2p weekly. I'm quite excited about it.
I like both horizontal and vertical progression, but to keep to the example of early Firefall/Ember if i would have to make a choice i would probably go with horizontal. I think it works better in a open world sandboxy environment and even better for action/shooter mmo's.

I prefer one that is akin to a tree, a tree that spans into a myriad of branches.
But does something like that exist? No.
Because we ever get only one direction, the direction that leads to as much money as possible in somebodys pockets. Dreaming is a dream.
