They have said that if someone bought Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns the core game would be free to anyone that bought it. I believe that the post on ign was a mess up were they worded something poorly and pulled it. With that said I don't feel that free 2 play would hurt the player base but at the same time I really don't see the point of a buy to play game going f2p. So on a scale from 1-10 I will give it a 4.
