as a dirty causal who does'nt have a lot of time to game.

If a game is complex to the level that I need to go to internet to study other people build for the earliest decisions or I it takes me more then a couple of ours to figure out how everything works and how to play the game the game is over complicated..

Examples ARK got it right, life is feudal is far too complicated for me

Depends on how much money the devs want to make vs how much they want their game to be an art form molded in the way they want it.

Want to make money? Complexity/depth is not good because most of humanity is dumb, and you need to appeal to the majority.
