Two bodies, one brain...but does it hold up?
It's put itself in like with Warframe, but can it compete?
It came at the right time with the right IP, but does it deliver?
NCSoft and Amazon Games bring the F2P MMORPG to a global audience, but will they like it?
I have been part of an in game protest in Gw2 called SAB OR RIOT!!! Basically Super Adventure Box was supposed to be a returning event but the 2nd SAB release had some backlash. World 2 was a big difficulty jump compared to world 1 and that combined with another competing release overlapping with it lead to a low amount of players completing world 2. The devs didn't bring SAB back for a couple years after that release so some players in the subreddit started a campaign to bring it back. It lead to a 'protest' in Rata Sum (it was really a giant party) to show support for bringing SAB back. Given that SAB is now Gw2's April festival I think the protest was a success!
Da-bomb to Jason for telling my fellow Gw2 players to learn to like new things. I talked about a Cantha expansion in last week's comment because I've seen tons of players ask for years on the subreddits (far more than I ever saw for Elonia) so I do believe it is the one piece of content guarantied to bring player back to Gw2. That being said there is SO much more lore Anet could pull from and Gw2 is at it's best when it doing new stuff like PoF mounts, HoT meta events, SAB, etc. or working with new lore like the Sylvari, the Zephyrite, etc.
For the question of the week: I've never protested per se, but I did sign a petition back when City of Heroes was shutting down, knowing full well it would likely have no effect. Now, I just protest with my wallet and simply don't pay for or play games I'm not satisfied with.
