"It's a bold strategy, Cotton, let's see if it pays off for 'em"
The industry seems to be peeling back a bit from live services...does that mean they're on their way out, though?
Not just for nostalgia...we mean what ones need to come back that you'd actually play!
Gamers will put up with MMORPG jank...but what HAS to be there for you to stick around.
it depends on the game. if the lore is written in long drawn out dialogues I have no idea what the lore is. the faster I can get through to what those want me to do for my quests the better. if they are done in cut scenes or at least in enough cut scenes that create a story to actually make me care, then I might read the rest. but I can only tolerate so many iterations of "oh my, they are destroying our land/castle/home/people/planet" etc. before I just don't care anymore.
