Massive A-Bomb to the battle pass and all that my formerly beloved Rift is now. There has been only negative news since Gamigo got it, or no news at all. As much as I miss the game itself, I cannot go back to it. As my husband so poignantly put it... it's like visiting a dying relative. They will just milk the game until it is completely vacant, then close it. In any case, I won't be giving them money ever again. Instead, we will migrate to EQ once more, a game that puts out content and actually seems to care about its community. If you want to sell cosmetics, just sell the cosmetics, don't artificially enhance play time through dailies/weeklies no one wants to do. I, too hope this fails. It's a terrible model.

Maybe it's me but I fail to understand how it's different/hard for Artifact to go f2p. I mean as far as I understand: when you buy Artifact, you will get 20 packs ( where you can open later) + 5 arena tickets on top of whatever tutorial, core, basic set,... . Now if they go f2p basically they just remove that 20 packs + 5 arena tickets. So basically f2p players when join Artifact they will get like 50 free basic card ( 50 is just a make up number , I don't know how many you get as a basic account/set) . It's sure that you can make 2000 steam account and put those card on black market. However who will buy that 50 basic card anyway?

As far as how they monetize , it's the same as every single card game out there ( sell packs, sell arena tickets, sell hero,... ). The thing that make Artifact unique is that the ability to sell every individual card that you get for a steam wallet ( real money in a way).

I mean in 99.99% of digital card game ( Hearthstone, shadowwverse, gwent,...) . You can have 10 duplicate of super rare legendary card ( say "black lotus") , there isn't much you can do about it beside disenchant and get some dust, shard,... However on Artifact at least you can sell 9 of them for some steam wallet money. Isn't that what Artifact all about or what it market different compare to all others digital card games?

I'm so sorry for my English. English isn't my first language.

"In what way?" Did you not enjoy paying for that tank :)

Good luck at epic Jason, wish you the best. (you got 360 days to return, minus the 5 day broadcasting time)
