A Paragon-inspired project actually see the light of day, but can it compete with a crowded field of MOBAs?
Here is supporting evidence:
- The forums have had consistent complaints of tickets going unanswered, server instability, decrease in population, and of course lack of communication.
- Of the remaining Trion games, only Rift no longer has livestreams
- Of the two fansites I frequent, one has posted nothing since April, and even before that had taken up following Torchlight Frontiers.
- Much of what was in that letter was in a previous post, and one item was on the list twice.
My theory? That letter was an attempt at keeping those still playing complacent. Look, I don't want Rift to shut down, I love the game. I want better for it. But the writing is on the wall.
