Remember in The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds when you could push yourself onto a wall in a 2D form and use that new, thinner perspective to access new areas or slip into small cracks in the environment? What if you took that mechanic and tossed it into a 5v5 hero shooter?
That's exactly the question that Stinova asks with its "Stringification" mechanic.
The free-to-play, anime hero shooter provides multiple modes you're familiar with like Demolition, Rank Demolition, Team Arena, Team Deathmatch, and Escort, but its lineup of available heroes have a unique quirk. Sure, they all have different abilities that provide multiple different playstyles, but they can also pop back and forth between being three dimensional and two dimensional. Jumping into 2D form allows you to instantly change your elevation by zipping up through walls, swimming through ceilings, or using your paper-like form to glide through the air. Get to your safe spot and pop back into 3D and unleash the dogs of war.
If you're looking for a hero shooter while on a break from Overwatch 2, Strinova may be worth considering.
