Predecessor
Everyone thought it was pretty cool when Epic Games released the assets of their cancelled shooter/MOBA project Paragon. Since then, many smaller studios (and even just groups of fans) have attempted to use those assets to reimagine the MOBA.
While most have come and gone, Predecessor has seen a bit of traction and is now available to play on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Omeda Studios has refined the original gameplay of Paragon's typical three lane MOBA and added more unique abilities for its roster of of over 30 heroes. The team also adapted the third-person camera made popular in MOBAs by SMITE and stacks up the challenge by having maps introduce some verticality into the mix.
While gameplay and strategy may be familiar to players of other MOBAs, Predecessor does plan to add other features throughout open beta and launch that will mix up the traditional 5v5, lane push model of other MOBAs.
Disclosure: MMOBomb works closely with publishers and developers to offer a free and rewarding experience. In order to keep everything free to use we may sometimes earn a small commission from some partners. Find more info in our FAQ page.
