Marvel Rivals
NetEase Games has clearly been working on Marvel Rivals for a long time. Sure, it isn't really re-inventing much in the hero-shooter genre, but does it need to? With Overwatch 2 having its own set of issues recently, many team-shooter fans have been looking for other options and Marvel Rivals may just be launching at the exact right time.
With all maps and heroes always being free, you don't have to worry about spending a little cash to suit up as your favorite Marvel heroes, each with their own unique set of abilities. All modes in the 6v6 game are also available for free. If you want to spend money, the only things you can do that on is cosmetics and season passes. By the way, you don't lose your season pass if you haven't finished it by the end of the season. You can always progress on that pass you bought later, so you won't even have any fear of missing out.
Not only can you play as your favorites, but you could also have certain "Team Up" abilities with other heroes. Most of the time, these combinations make a lot of lore sense, too. If you're shooting your way to victory, just be careful. Quite a bit of the map is actually destructible in Marvel Rivals, so sometimes hunkering down behind walls isn't going to be the best option.
Marvel Rivals features cross play between PC and consoles, but currently cross progression is not a supported feature.
