You're Level 20 Now And The Bard Class Is Finally Available In Neverwinter...On PC
Here we go. Get ready to annoy your mates. Neverwinter's Bard class has arrived, which means you can all take part in the fine tradition of being irritatingly supportive. (Or just irritating when you're using your Bard abilities for the good of the party in a dungeon somewhere.)
The new Bard class is inspired by the D&D 5th edition, allowing players to do a variety of things from wielding magic swords, to boosting party members using music, and even manipulating minds. They can use music to enhance, heal, or even hurt, or just play a tune if the mood strikes.
In addition to the bard class, Neverwinter's latest update, Jewel of the North, streamlines the game's leveling system, allowing players to reach epic level content in about 10-12 hours. This process also changes the level cap, dropping it from 80 to 20. Players now have access to the Adventurer's Guild in the Protector's Enclave and a special Training Room. If you're new to the game, you'll also benefit from a revamped tutorial.
Jewel of the North is available to players on PC today. As ever, console players have a bit of a wait. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions should arrive some time next month.
