You Won't Be Able To Play Elder Scrolls: Legends Come January, The Digital Card Game Is Shutting Down
At least there's still a card game in the MMORPG itself...right?
Back in December of 2019, Elder Scrolls: Legends announced that they wouldn't be adding any more updates to the digital card game. It was a little bit of a weird decision at the time since the game had over 1,000 players on Steam at most times, and I personally can attest to the fact that most players weren't even playing via Steam.
Fast forward to today, and the team is closing the game down. As noticed by Rock Paper Shotgun, Elder Scrolls: legends has been delisted from Steam and the servers will go totally offline, with no offline option, on January 30th, 2025.
The announcement was made via an in-game message to players that reads, "The Elder Scrolls: Legends servers will permanently shut down on January 30, 2025. From now until January 30, 2025, all items in the store and entry into in-game events will be available for 1 gold each, so you can enjoy all the content Legends has to offer. On that date, servers will be shut down and the game will be inaccessible. Thank you for playing and we hope you have enjoyed your time in Legends."
I mean, at least there's a card game built right into The Elder Scrolls Online that no ones plays, right?
