You Can Play The Free Open Beta For Subscription-Based MMORPG Legends Of Aria Classic Today
Progress will be wiped, but the official launch happens a week later.
Today begins the open beta for Legends of Aria Classic.
At 2 PM (EST), players will have the opportunity to explore familiar territories and engage in nostalgic adventures. This serves as a vital stress test for the game's new server hardware profile too. The open beta will run until midnight (EST) on May 7, after which the servers will be wiped in preparation for the official launch on May 9 at 2 PM (EST). Players are encouraged to not only participate, but also give feedback so gameplay can be fine-tuned before the actual release.
Reaffirming commitment to a fair play experience, the MMORPG will operate under a subscription-based model. Players can enjoy the first 30 days after launch completely free of charge to decide whether to continue. Following this period, a monthly subscription fee of $9.99 will apply through Steam. New accounts logging in after the initial free period will get a 7-day trial (with certain restrictions).
According to the developers over at Citadel Studios, this model aims to sustain continuous game improvement and ensure that achievements within Celador are earned through skill and teamwork.
Legends of Aria Classic also invites players to contribute to the development of its wiki during the open beta phase. Players can share insights, document adventures, compile tips, and provide detailed information about game mechanics to create a comprehensive resource for the community.
Will reverting to their 2019 ruleset and excising the blockchain shenanigans bring platers back? We'll wait and see, but let's just say we're a little doubtful.
