You Can Now Take Off On Flying Mounts In Black Desert Online, But There's A Catch For Now
There's also some love floating around for Valentine's Day.
I'm sure you've been sailing and riding horses in Black Desert Online for a while. Maybe you've even taken to the skies in an on-rail balloon ride or two. Have you ever wondered when the MMORPG was going to finally break down and add flying mounts so you can take to the skies, though? That day is today, my friends. After being out for 10 years, you can finally hop on the back of a dragon and see the world in a totally new way. Obviously you can get from point A to point B faster, too, since this the first flying mount that isn't on-rails and instead lets you free roam.
There is kind of a catch, though.
Here's the deal. If you log in and talk to your Black Spirit you can take on a quest called "To The Skies, Duskwing." Complete the quest and you'll receive the "Duskwing Calling Horn (14 Days)" item. If you just sighed, we get it. Yes, the item only works for a two week free trial. Eventually you will be forced to stay on the ground again. However, it won't always be this way. This is just to give all players a little taste of the skies. Soon, the flying mount will be offered as a reward for top-tier guilds who gain the "Conquest Lords" status.
Hopefully this system gets expanded more than that over time.
