Yoshi-P Reveals Job Adjustment Plans For Final Fantasy XIV, Coming in 7.01 and 7.05
Yes, they’re listening to player feedback.
As is typically the case with any expansion – particularly one that doesn’t do a lot of live testing – Final Fantasy XIV’s Dawntrail expansion has launched with some issues. Many have been reporting various issues with their job of choice.
It seems the devs have been listening. Today, Yoshi-P responded, announcing adjustments for some of the MMORPG’s jobs. Not all of these will drop at once, however. According to the notice, players can expect changes in Patches 7.01 and 7.05. The jobs currently being addressed are Monk, Astrologian, Viper, Black Mage, Samurai, Red Mage, Pictomancer, and all of the Tanks.
The love Tanks will receive will address the issues they are currently having holding enmity. This will be addressed in Patch 7.01. The other jobs have more unique issues. Samurai’s recast timer is being reduced on a couple of skills. Red Mage’s Manafication effect duration is being extended. Once Black Mage is fixed, they should be able to recover MP with more ease prior to learning Umbral Soul.
As for Monk, Astrologian, Viper, and Pictomancer, they’re all having a few things adjusted as they’ve received the most feedback. This makes sense as the first two had several changes made while the latter are the new jobs. The full rundown for these can be found on the Lodestone.
