Yoshi-P’s New Year’s Producer’s Letter Teases More Trouble For The Warrior Of Light In Upcoming Final Fantasy XIV Patches
The letter teases patches 7.2 and 7.3 as well as more Fan Fests.
Work is never done when you’re developing an MMORPG, but it seems that might actually be the way Final Fantasy XIV Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida likes it. Either that, or he’s putting on a good show. The annual New Year’s Greeting letter from Yoshi-P was posted on the game’s website, offering a brief tease of what’s to come in 2025, as well as the traditional words of wisdom and fun art.
With Dawntrail and the halfway point on the 7.1 patch series already behind us, the XIV team is working on 7.2. In fact, Yoshi-P will begin his own checks on that content in February. According to his letter, the patch will be “jam-packed”, so players will have a lot of content to look forward to soon. Patch 7.3 will also be released this year, although he didn’t go into detail beyond stating that much.
As for how we’ll be hearing about all of the new content, it looks like Fan Fests are going to be one way. We don’t know when or where the Fan Fests will take place, but they’re obviously in the works. If you’d like to read the letter in full, it’s available on the Final Fantasy XIV site.
