Final Fantasy XIV Valentione's Day 2025

During the “A Stroll With Yoshi-P” livestream, Final Fantasy XIV Game Director Naoki Yoshida confirmed some of the things that players can expect in the near future. The stream is a casual thing and not one where any major announcements are intended to be made, but that doesn’t stop Yoshi-P from offering players of the MMORPG a few nuggets. So he did.

According to a report on Game Rant, he told viewers that two highly anticipated features – the ones that should keep players busy for some time – will be introduced in Patch 7.2. This would be Cosmic Exploration, which appears to be Ishgardian Restoration but in space, and the Shades’ Triangle field operation. Both of these will be long-term content with additions rolling out over time. That’s great news, as all the previous post-Dawntrail content has been things that players can complete fairly quickly (grinding Savages and Ultimates aside), meaning that players don’t have anything new encouraging them to log in.

We’ll likely hear more about both Cosmic Exploration and Shades’ Triangle soon, as a new Letter from the Producer Live is scheduled to take place Friday, February 7. That said, the Live Letter will only cover a portion of what’s to come in Patch 7.2 with another stream covering the rest at a later date.

Speaking of February, it’s that time again. Eorzea is preparing to celebrate Valentione’s Day and Astrid will once again need help with the festivities in Gridania. The reward for participating this time is a new bouquet emote. It almost looks like a proposal. There’s also a new wall decoration that players will be able to pick up during the event.

On an additional note, Square Enix has announced a collaboration with the clothing brand BlackMilk. For those unfamiliar, the brand makes some of the more grown-up gamer clothes out there. Many of them are things that can be worn to more serious events and not look too out of place. However, there are still t-shirts and the like. Of course, it is a well-established brand, so you will be paying established brand prices. Prices for the XIV collection aren’t available just yet, but a scroll through the rest of the BlackMilk catalog will give you a general idea.
