XDefiant Will Get Three New Weapons Every Season And Lobbies Won't Disband Between Matches
Also, Skill-Based Matchmaking won't be implemented in Unranked playlists.
We got a XDefiant update for you, fresh off of X (Twitter)...but no, we're still waiting on an update to the release window for Ubisoft's upcoming shooter.
Mark Rubin, the game’s executive producer, said that three new weapons will be introduced each season through the free battle pass. If players miss the window for obtaining them, special quests will allow these weapons to be unlocked later.
Yes all future weapons (3 per season) are available from the free battle pass. And if you miss a season's weapons you will have special quests that you can do to unlock them later.

He also said that XDefiant lobbies will not disband between matches. Players who select a specific mode will remain in the same lobby with others who chose that mode.
That's what we are doing. If you pick a mode then you will stay in the lobby together with other players who picked that mode in your lobby.

That’s all the news we have for now though. Rubin did announce an impending update that’s likely to be released next week. He said the team over at Ubisoft has been addressing major technical issues and conducting significant infrastructure and system overhauls. Rubin also recently confirmed that Skill-Based Matchmaking will not be implemented in the Unranked playlists.
We have an update coming soon. (probably this coming week) I know we've been silent because to be honest there isn't much to talk about. I know people just want to see the game ship and so do we.
