WWE-Themed Tanks Storm Into World of Tanks Console
Get ready to step into the ring with World of Tanks on consoles, as Wargaming has partnered up with World Wrestling Entertainment to offer a new season pass and tanks inspired by WWE Superstars. The Summerslam season runs from now until Sept. 21, offering access to five WWE-themed tanks, and the usual slew of other rewards.
The five tanks feature "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Becky Lynch, Andre The Giant, and -- fitting for the military theme -- Sgt. Slaughter. Austin's tank can be earned using the free battle pass, but the others require you to purchase one of the season passes. Yes, there are multiple passes, costing 2,000, 5,600, or 11,200 Gold.
You can also earn crew members based on the aforementioned Superstars, which makes me wonder: How does Andre the Giant fit into a tank? In August, more WWE crew members will be available, including Roman Reigns, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Ric Flair, and Shawn Michaels. Other wrestling-themed goodies include a WWE garage and "epic Superstar introductions" for the tanks.
This update also adds cross-play functionality for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners and the return of Commander mode. For more on the update and new season, check out the World of Tanks console page.
