World Of Warships' Submarines Arrive In Ranked Battles
Wargaming has been teasing and testing submarines in World of Warships for a while now, all the way since their debut in a limited-time Halloween mode in 2018. A series of tests ran last summer, and that's led to ... more tests, this summer!
Submarines will be available in the next season of ranked battles, though that's still being described as a "test." You can try out subs in co-op battles for a week before the ranked battles go live, and commanders have a new set of skills for piloting them. Even Wargaming acknowledges the lengthy testing period with a little tongue-in-cheek reference to "six open and a gazillion closed tests" for the new ship type.
The arrival of submarines necessitates some changes to commander skills for other ship types, several of which have been altered to counter submarines. Players will be able to reset their commander points for free to compensate for the changes.
Dutch cruisers are still in early access, and there's a new mission chain with bonus rewards for them. The full line will be available in the next update.
Learn all about the submarines and other changes and additions in Update 0.10.7 on the World of Warships site.
