World Of Warships Revises Commander System And Celebrates Lunar New Year
World of Warships 0.10.0 update is now live, and it's bringing big changes to Wargaming's naval combat title. The commander system is undergoing a major overhaul, the most notable being that commanders have a separate skill tree for each type of ship they can command. Commanders can spend their full complements of skill points on each type of ship, and the total number of skill points available to a maxed-out commander has been increased from 19 to 21. Retraining commanders and earning Elite Commander XP has also been made easier.
If you log into the game while 0.10.0 is active, you'll receive 500 Doubloons, and there are a number of missions in the game to help you earn Doubloons, ostensibly to make it easier to retrain your commanders -- though you can spend them on anything, of course.
The Lunar New Year celebration is also underway, and there are new dragon-themed ships -- the Tier IX battleship Wujing and Tier VIII carrier Sanzang -- that can drop from special "Journey to the West" containers. Six more premium ships can drop from Lunar New Year containers. There's also a bright and shiny Dragon port to dock your ships, which doesn't seem like a safe place to park but at least it's pretty.
