World of Warships Offers Charity Bundles To Benefit Hurricane Victims
Wargaming is pitching in to help victims of hurricanes by offering special packages in World of Warships. From now until Oct. 13, players can purchase "Rubicon" bundles ranging in price from $4.99 to $24.99, with 100% of the proceeds going toward disaster response organization Team Rubicon.
The Rubicon bundles offer one or more premium days in World of Warships, along with (appropriately) improved Damage Control and Repair Party consumables; the most expensive bundle adds a 10-point American commander. Buying any of the three packages also opens up access to the Lifesaver Mission, which requires players to accumulate 15,000 base XP to obtain a special Lifesaver flag featuring the Team Rubicon logo. The flag is purely cosmetic and has no in-game effects.
You can also donate directly to Team Rubicon via this fundraising page.
Not surprisingly, Wargaming's Let's Battle Tour stop for Corpus Christi, Texas, scheduled for Sept. 30, has been postponed. Details regarding its rescheduling will be announced by the end of the week.
