World Of Warships Brings Godzilla And Kong To PCs And Consoles In May
Godzilla has destroyed more than a few warships in his day, and now he'll get a chance to smash up a few more -- along with his giant gorilla foe, King Kong -- in a collaboration between Wargaming and WB/Legendary Entertainment. For a limited time starting in May, World of Warships and World of Warships: Legends will feature ships and playable commanders representing the two titanic title beasts from the movie Godzilla vs. Kong, which released worldwide yesterday in theaters and HBO Max.
In the PC game, Godzilla will be represented by the Japanese battleship Amagi, while Kong's ride of choice is the American battleship USS North Carolina. Each comes with its own movie-inspired permanent camouflages, and there will also be consumable camouflages, patches, flags, and more. On consoles, players can choose to represent Godzilla and take the Heat Ray battleship into the fray or Kong and set forth with the Primal battleship. They'll arrive with commanders, consumable camouflages, patches, flags, and more.
The two will also be available as commanders for their individual ships, which might seem a little weird until you see Kong gripping the superstructure of his ship in the video below. OK, it's still weird, but it makes sense from a certain standpoint. The only question is, can he knock down planes by reaching up and swatting them?
