World Of Warplanes Adds American "Flying Fortress" Heavy Bombers
"MMO" and "Bomb" are in our website's title, but it's rare that we get to talk about actual bombs in an MMO. Today is that special day, however, as Wargaming has added a trio of American heavy bombers to World of Warplanes, highlighting the game's 2.0.8 update.
The Boeing B-17D, Boeing B-17G, and Consolidated B-32 are Tier V, VI, and VII bombers, respectively, that carry a hefty payload that can devastate an opposing control point in quick order. These "flying fortresses" come armed to the teeth with powerful turrets that boast an overlapping field of fire to fend off any foes who think they're slow and easy targets.
Not to be outdone, the Japanese add three heavy fighters to the mix: the Kawasaki Ki-45 Toryu, Kawasaki Ki-102, and Rikugun Ki-93, in those same three tiers. Update 2.0.8 also includes a new set of personal ratings and missions to let you earn the six new planes. Learn more about this update on the World of Warplanes site.
