World Of Warships Gets 2025 Rolling With A Special Version Of Operations

World of Warships’ first update of 2025 is rolling out on January 9, introducing a special kind of Operations featuring flagships to the war strategy game. There are currently six of these Operations, in which flagships act as squadron leaders for the fleet. As you might expect, they have quite a few more hit points than regular ships and are going to take some serious work to sink. What’s more, there are three flagships in play, each with its own skill set.

One of these flagships will be patrolling the waters at any time during the first three weeks of the update. After that, they’ll all begin working together – meaning players will need to be prepared for the challenge. The event will run until February 6.

In addition to the new Operations, the update also introduces Dutch cruisers to early access. They’ll remain until March 6 and include vessels with 128mm guns, improved high explosive shell penetration, and more. Included in the new line of ships are the Tier VIII cruiser Jaarsveld, the Tier X cruiser Ultrecht, and more. Details are available in the patch notes.
