World Of Warcraft's The War Within Officially Launches Today: Here's The Schedule
Today and the next few weeks see the expansion truly open up to its fullest.
If you bought the Epic Edition of World of Warcraft's The War Within expansion, you've likely been playing in the MMORPG's new zones for a few days now thanks to early access. If you held off on picking up the new additions or just didn't want to spend the extra money, then today's your day to hop into the beginning of the Worldsoul Saga.
At 3 PM PST today, The War Within officially goes live. This means that early access players will gain access to Heroic versions of the 8 dungeons that the expansion adds. If you're just starting out, you'll have 4 new zones to explore, 10 new levels to gain, a new piece of PvE content in "Delves" (mini-dungeons), and more to explore.
The next key date after today will be September 10th. That is when Season 1 of The War Within opens adding the first season of the expansion's PvP, Mythic 0 dungeons, the initial raid, and Wing 1 of that raid's raid finder. Mythic + dungeons will open one week later on the 17th.
(Sidebar: The Earthen Allied Race and the final campaign chapter will come on September 3rd.)
So far, I've been enjoying the leveling and story that The War Within offers. That's no surprise, though. Blizzard has generally been very good at adding new leveling zones and setting up the story. Where I am most interested in The War Within is the endgame loops. Will the dungeons be interesting enough to want to run over and over? Will the raid harken back to my love for raiding back in the Wrath of the Lich King era? Will the expansion keep me playing longer than the last few expansions did? We'll be finding out soon.
How are you enjoying the beginning of the Worldsoul Saga trilogy of expansions?
